Step 1: Surface Preparation
Ensure that the surface is thoroughly clean, dry, free from all loose particles, paint film, dust, dirt, grease wax, mould, fungal growth etc. before application. Fill up all cracks using Dulux Aquatech range of Crack fillers or use cement and sand mixture in the ration 1:3. For dampness use Dulux Aquatech Interior Waterproof Basecoat on the bare surface as per recommendation. DN Better Living Bio-Based should not be applied on the surfaces that are subjected to continuous seepage or dampness.
Step 2: Application Process
Priming: Prime surface with a coat of Dulux Water Based Cement Primer or Dulux Solvent based Cement Primer and dry for 4-6 hrs.
Putty: Smoothen the surface by filling dents with thin coats of any suitable putty. Allow drying for 4-6 hours. Sand with Emery paper 180 and wipe clean.
Priming: Prime surface with a coat of Dulux Water Based Cement Primer or Dulux Solvent based Cement Primer and dry for 4-6 hrs. Sand the surface with Emery paper 180 and wipe clean.
Dilution: Dilute 1 liter of paint with 300 -400 ml of water for Br. White and Pastel shades. For Dark shades, dilute 1 liter of paint with a maximum of 250 -300 ml of water.
Apply 2-3 coats of DN Better Living Bio-Based with minimum 4-6 hours between the coats.
Normally two coats of paint are enough for the desired finish.
Dark shades may require 3rd coat for getting the desired opacity.
Step 3: Drying Time
Touch dry: - 30 mins
Recoat: - 4- 6 hours
