Paint the future positive
We’re committed to bringing you more than just perfect colour. Find out how we’ve been developing our products and services to paint a brighter future for our planet
At Dulux, our customers are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we are so committed to continually investing in research, development and innovation, so you can be sure you’re always getting world-class products, services and tools.
When you buy a tin of Dulux paint, you expect nothing less than perfect colour, uniform finish and the coverage stated. We believe that level of quality should come as standard, which is why we created the Dulux Assurance.
But we want to give you even more than that.
Whether it’s helping you choose the right paint for your project, delivering more value for fewer resources or reducing the environmental impact of our operations, we’re dedicated to painting a more positive future for you, your home and our planet. These are just a few of the ways we’re doing it…
A positive you
A fresh coat of paint is a powerful thing. It can totally transform a space, brighten your day and offer you a warm welcome home.
At Dulux, we understand that paint projects take time and money, which is why we’re committed to helping you do more with less.
Every tin of our paint is crafted with the finest ingredients and expert knowledge, to ensure the best possible quality. They’re also designed to be easy to apply and long-lasting – giving you more time to do the things you love.
Because we’re passionate about sustainability, we’ve also been working hard to move away from solvent-based paints, and introduce more water-based products where possible. Not only do they produce lower VOC (volatile organic compounds) emissions, which is better for the environment, but they also produce less odour. Cleaner air while you work and a cleaner planet, too!
A positive home
Our paints aren’t just designed to colour your home, but protect it, too. While your makeover projects might only last the weekend, you want to be able to enjoy the results for years to come.
That’s why, for our interior paints, we’ve taken cues from the natural world and harnessed the science of biomimicry to develop products with hydrophobic technology. Paints with hydrophobic surfaces cause liquids to bead up and roll off, which is what gives the tough and washable Dulux SuperClean.
Of course, the natural world isn’t always so giving. That’s why we’ve also developed products to protect your home against the elements. Dulux Weathershield range is UV resistant and able to withstand the harshest of weather conditions, with a flexible paint film that prevent surfaces from developing cracks. Our Dulux exterior range contains a mild fungicide, to help ward off fungi and mould inside buildings.
We also have a range of products designed to help improve energy efficiency. Our product has an invisible waterproof coating designed specifically for undecorated external brickwork. By helping to keep your exterior walls dry from rain, Smartshield+ improves thermal efficiency, which can reduce your energy bills.
A positive future
Introducing more water-based paints and products designed to boost thermal efficiency isn’t just good for you; it’s good for our planet too. Together, we’re cutting down on waste, lowering our emissions and moving ever closer to creating a circular economy for paint.
We’re also helping our customers do more with less with the development of our Colour Tools. Our Wet Testers and free Dulux Visualiser app help take the guesswork out of choosing your perfect colour: Less decision time, less waste, fewer tins of paint taking up your garage space!
Have you heard about our recycling scheme? The Dulux Decorator Centre can recycling scheme allows painters to return leftover paint and packaging. Not only is this a boost for the planet, it can also add to your own environmental credentials too. The free service guarantees every part of the can is reused or recycled, and we’ll even collect from site if we’re already making a delivery to you. No one else offers a scheme quite like it.
